Failure to avoid my moronic typings

A reader responds to my 4/16/08 essay "Leaving Las Vegas: Rearview," which ran in the Cleveland Free Times. This letter was also published here.

Wow... there is indeed a waste of space being displayed here and it isn't your writing. It always amazes me how willing people are to harm. I hope from now on you can give this letter every bit of inattention it deserves, and by the way, fantastic response at the end. Good luck.

Oy. I think the guy is just jealous and also crying out for attention. Sad. He must have a pretty miserable life with such negative energy flowing through him.

But on the bright side, I must say it was lovely to see you live and in action wearing your new glasses. Rowr! You are hot hot hot...and even hotter with the glasses!

well, that person is just horrible. don't even think about taking that seriously, some people are just so miserable that they simply must make others feel bad.

I do think you take these screeds of bile in terribly good spirit, Erin.

The correspondence you read out in this clip is merely an example of the warblings of some failed wannabe-never-gonnabe projecting their own sense of underachievement and disillusionment on to you - and trying their best to be personal into the bargain, by making reference to your late brother. Personal abuse: the last redoubt of the cad!

Chin up love - don't let the bastards grind you down!
